1.Introuduction

The metal honeycomb substrate with pore density of 400cells was oxidized at high temperature, then loaded with Al2O3 coating, and then impregnated with noble metal platinum to prepare Pt/Al2O3 coated metal honeycomb catalyst for CO selective oxidation. After oxidized at 900℃ for 10 hours, the surface of the metal honeycomb substrate showed a pin-like structure, which can improve the compatibility between the substrate and Al2O3 coating. The optimal loading order of coating Al2O3 is latex-sol-latex. At 120 C, the selective redox activity and selectivity of Pt/ Al2O3 coated metal honeycomb catalyst for CO are 54.0% and 42%, respectively, which are 1.7 and 1.4 times higher than those of ceramic honeycomb catalyst under the same conditions.
